Campus Ministry

Newman Catholic Community:
The Newman Catholic Community is the voice of the Catholic Students both on and off campus. The Newman Community includes Catholic students at both SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick colleges. All students interested are welcome to join us. Since this is a student association, meetings are organized and led by student officers.
We strive to build a community that reflects the kingdom Jesus preached. We witness to the Gospel and grow toward Christ by worshiping God, serving the less fortunate among us, and creating a community of friendship and compassion.

“How to take the bus to Sunday Mass”

The State University bus makes a loop, traveling through the SUNY campus, every half hour on Sunday mornings. Hartwick students can meet the bus on the corner of Center St. and Church St. between 10:00 and 10:05 am. On the SUNY campus, the bus is scheduled to stop at Schoomoker Hall at 10:10, Alumni hall a few minutes later and at the Fine Arts building at 10:15. The best place to get off the bus will be at the corner of Maple St. and Main St., just past Walnut St. Walk the short distance back to Walnut St., then one block down to the church.

To return to campus: Students can get back on the bus, again on the corner of Maple and Main, at 11:50 am or 12:20 pm.

We hope to see you at Mass!!
